Rooted in the winegrowing tradition of Penedès since the 16th century, the Torres Family founded its winery in Vilafranca del Penedès in 1870. Each generation has passed down from parents to children a passion for wine culture, based on respect for the land and tradition, and a strong commitment to innovation. Today, the fifth generation is focused on producing wines from unique vineyards and historic estates, as well as recovering ancestral grape varieties to adapt to climate change. Historically present in Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat and Costers del Segre, the Torres Family also has vineyards and wineries in Spain’s main winegrowing regions –Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Rías Baixas– as well as in Chile and California.

The Torres family's most treasured possessions are its historical estates, marvellous enclaves in Catalonia whose exceptional geoclimatic conditions allow the grapes to achieve their ultimate expression, producing wines with a distinct personality and hedonistic style. Located in the counties of the Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat and Costers del Segre.
Confirming the commitment of Familia Torres to the region of La Rioja Alavesa, this project focuses on origin and typicity to produce remarkable wines that interpret the Labastida countryside and embody the characteristics of the vineyards themselves.
The Familia Torres project located in two wonderful areas for growing grapes: Ribera del Duero and Rueda, combining tradition, a commitment to quality and a passion for viticulture.
Situated in the municipality of Portas, in the valley of Salnés, within the appellation or DO of Rías Baixas is a typical Galician "pazo" or country house, catalogued as a place of historical interest. It's particularly notable for its large walled vineyard, planted using the trained vine system. The winery also uses innovative Galician granite tanks for the vinification and ageing of the wines.
The Familia Torres winery that produces premium sparkling wines from its own high-altitude vineyards. Its name pays homage to an English maritime trader who sailed the most remote seas at the beginning of the 19th century until he decided to change course and settle down in the Penedès to make his own wines.
