Jean Leon is a small winery in Penedès, founded in 1963 by the Cantabrian Jean Leon (born Ceferino Carrión), a visionary who made his two great dreams come true: opening the most luxurious restaurant in Hollywood and producing an exclusive wine to delight his select clientele. The winery, owned by the Torres Family since 1994 and managed since 2010 by Mireia Torres, was the first to produce a single-varietal cabernet sauvignon wine in Spain and to receive the recognition of 'Qualified Estate Wine' in Penedès, the highest distinction granted by the Government of Catalonia. With around 60 hectares of its own vineyards, all its wines have been certified organic since the 2012 vintage and are exported to more than 40 countries.
