LOCAL VARIETY WINES MAKING THEIR WAY IN THE WORLD

Identity In a Bottle
Indigenous varieties might very well be the paradigmatic guardians of the identity and flavour of a region. They ensure the integrity of the landscape and act as ambassadors of our wines around the world. The unique wines they produce reflect a cultural legacy that spans thousands of years and which we, as a family, are proud to continue.
VINYARETS XAREL·LO - VINYARETS TINTO: THE SOUL OF PENEDÈS
Xarel·lo is a white variety which achieves its finest expression in Alt Penedès. In these dry high-lying areas with calcareous soils, the Xarel·lo grapes develop higher acidity and sugar levels.

The wines are timid on the nose, of medium intensity, revealing white fruit, apple, and pear, with herbaceous aniseed notes characteristic of the Mediterranean woodland. The palate is fresh and displays remarkable acidity.
Vinyarets Blanco is a pleasant but expressive wine with excellent acidity. Bright, brilliant, pale yellow in colour. Fresh and aromatically fragrant, with echoes of citrus and floral undertones (broom) that are delicate yet heady. Zesty on entry, with an expressive palate and a rich apple and honey finish.

Few things are as characteristic of where we come from as Sumoll. The wines made from this variety are laden with fresh red fruit; indomitable and nervy. Mediterranean in origin but with a complex profile reminiscent of fresh Atlantic reds, this paradigmatic variety presents a medium depth of colour, allowing the light to filter through. The lively colour of a Sumoll offers a captivating and beautiful interplay of nuances, glints, and highlights. Endowed with a bold nose in keeping with the varietal spirit (crisp red fruit with slightly herbaceous woodland undergrowth coming through), the wine unfolds full and with emphatic personality on the palate.

In terms of appearance, Vinyarets Tinto captures the eye with its subtle shade of pale garnet whose medium depth of colour allows the light to penetrate the layers, bringing out mesmerizing nuanced ruby highlights. Pleasantly and elegantly subtle on the nose, with a flush of fresh, lively red fruit. Strawberry and cherry, bursting with ruddy youthfulness, rest on a bed of vegetative nuances reminiscent of the Mediterranean pre-coastal hills.
Fresh and nervy on the palate, the wine undergoes 10 months of partial oak ageing to preserve its remarkable acidity, which provides the backbone for a bold carrousel of fruit that fully reveals itself on the delightful finish.

PAZO DAS BRUXAS - BLANCO GRANITO: ATLANTIC WINES
This story starts in the Atlantic wine region par excellence: Rías Baixas, where sea and shore kiss and lose themselves in an embrace of brine and low fog. The appellation of origin (DO) has seen an extraordinary rise thanks to the sublime fruit elegance and complex evolution of its indisputable queen: Albariño.

The region’s history is imbued with its Celtic heritage, revealing a spiritual past where the earth and sky are inextricably linked by ancient cultural practices. Within this leitmotif we find the essence of our northernmost wines.
Through its brilliant yellow hue and golden edge, Pazo das Bruxas evokes its birthplace. The intense nose leads us into a world of white flowers, citrus, and fresh stone fruit to then culminate in a lovely palate, luscious, but with firm acidity that carries through on the long, flavourful finish. Evocative of brine and sea salt, of the weight and movement of water and earth.

From its conception, Blanco Granito, has been a paradigm of high-quality whites. Marked by the influence of the sea and the Umia River, Blanco Granito is an extraordinary wine and the first to undergo both fermentation and ageing in granite. The granite vats bring out the aromas and minerality of the wine, imparting greater creaminess, volume, and length.
The resulting Albariño displays a beautiful green colour with golden highlights, limpid and brilliant in appearance. On the nose, Blanco Granito preserves its intense varietal aromas, with notes of seawater, citrus, and stone fruit. Crisp, well-integrated acidity on the palate, with a briny Atlantic profile enveloped in a wonderful sense of volume. An Atlantic embrace, a kiss from the shore.
