Familia Torres and Julià Travel Familia present a joint wine tourism activity to enjoy the nature, wines, and gastronomy of the Penedès region, connecting Barcelona with this historic wine-producing area. Starting in May, international visitors have the opportunity to book a wine and gastronomy getaway from the Catalan capital to delve into the history and environmental commitment of Familia Torres, which has been named the world's most admired wine brand seven times, and to taste a selection of wines and traditional dishes prepared by the winery's restaurant.

The activity, lasting five hours, is offered in English three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), departing at 9:30 AM from Barcelona's Estación del Norte (Central Bus Station). The journey is conducted in a premium 25-seat coach, accompanied by a specialized guide. Upon arrival in Pacs del Penedès, visitors will be captivated by the beauty of the landscape, dominated by the majestic Montserrat mountain. After a walk through the Mas La Plana vineyard, an example of regenerative viticulture, guests will visit the Waltraud winery, where Familia Torres produces its most iconic wines.

At El Celleret restaurant, located at the foot of the vineyard, attendees will enjoy a brunch featuring traditional dishes and locally sourced products, paired with a selection of 4 wines from the winery. The gastronomic offering includes “coca de recapte” (with roasted vegetables and anchovies), Spanish omelet with bread and tomato, vegetable cream from the restaurant's garden, Catalan-style chicken, and cheeses, followed by a dessert of cottage cheese with honey from the Mas La Plana estate.

With this new proposal by Familia Torres and Julià Travel, international visitors can enjoy a complete wine and gastronomy experience in the heart of the Penedès region from Barcelona, arriving quickly and comfortably without complications.
