Cordillera Chardonnay
Between two countries and two cultures, the mountain range in Valle de Limarí marking the border between Chile and Argentina, is an emblematic presence on all Chilean vineyards. The plantations reach high in Limarí in order to gift us with Chardonnays of noble and unquestionable character.
Since Miguel Torres arrived in Chile, we have traveled to every corner of this magnificent land in search of the best place to craft unique wines. And we have found not one, but several enclaves with distinct characteristics that contribute something special to viticulture.
With the "Valley Collection" concept, Miguel Torres offers wines of intense varietal character from the country's diverse wine-growing valleys.
Valle de Limarí
Located in the Coquimbo region, in northern Chile, the Limarí Valley has established itself as one of the country’s most unique and promising wine regions. Its proximity to the Atacama Desert and the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean’s sea breeze create a semi-arid climate, with sunny days and cool nights, ideal for grape growing. The Limarí Valley stretches across landscapes of calcareous soils and gentle hills, where low rainfall and pure air favor the production of high-quality grapes.
The uniqueness of this appellation is especially reflected in its white wines, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, which stand out for their freshness, minerality, and elegance. Notable red wines are also produced, especially Syrah and Pinot Noir. The combination of innovation, tradition, and respect for the environment has positioned the Limarí Valley as an emerging benchmark in Chilean winemaking, recognized both nationally and internationally.
