Torres celebrates the 40th vintage of its flagship wine Mas La Plana

20 November 2014

Mas La Plana continues to be now, four decades later, the perfect ambassador of the values and ideals of the Torres family and a respectful and passionate model of viticulture

Mas La Plana 2010, produced at the small  Bodegas Torres winery in El Penedès, is the 40th vintage of the first Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon that surprised the world by triumphing over some of the best French wines at an international blind tasting, the famous Wine Olympics of Paris in 1979, organised by the specialist Gault & Millau guide.

This event marked the beginning of a risky adventure that was ahead of its time and which has led to this incredible wine harvesting numerous successes and becoming an international symbol, maintaining, year after year, the originality and determination of its creator.
