Miguel A. Torres, president of Familia Torres, has been honored with the prestigious Most Honorary Award, a distinction presented by the Most International Wine and Cava Film Festival to leading global figures in the wine industry.
The award ceremony, hosted by renowned meteorologist Tomàs Molina, took place during the 14th edition of the Most Festival at the Vinseum auditorium in Vilafranca del Penedès on November 7. The jury recognized Miguel A. Torres for his outstanding career, his pivotal role in the internationalization of Spanish wine, and his unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation. In his acceptance speech, Miguel A. As part of the festival’s program, and as a heartfelt tribute, Mireia Torres —fifth generation of the family and director of innovation and development at Familia Torres— together with sommelier Sergi Castro, led an emotional tasting in honor of her father. The most iconic wines created by Miguel A. Torres provided the narrative thread for sharing memories and personal anecdotes that have shaped the winery’s history and exemplify his passion, dedication, and forward-thinking vision. The tasting featured the latest vintages of Viña Sol, Waltraud, Milmanda, Mas La Plana, Manso de Velasco, and Grans Muralles.
