8 suggestions for your summer pairings

Here are 8 ideas to celebrate simplicity. Accompanied by our freshest wines, discover the potential of your summer pairings.
1. Complete a light aperitif with our de-alcoholised wine, Natureo. Just add an ice cube and a few drops of lemon. Fresh, simple and original!
2. A little lemon juice will liven up your salads. A simple, effective touch of citrus that goes perfectly with the Parellada of Viña Sol or the Verdejo of our D.O Rueda, Verdeo.
3. Do you prefer wines with a little body, like our Atrium Chardonnay? Add some white fruits to your salad, such as melon, peach or apple. And for the dressing: a few drops of vanilla essence. Surprisingly good!
4. A hint of the exotic. If you like the touch of coriander that's so typical in Latin and Oriental cuisine, Santa Digna Sauvignon Blanc from our Chilean winery pairs naturally with the marinated fish dish known as ceviche and guacamole.
5. You have to be careful with the vinegar in the popular cold soups of gazpacho and salmorejo as it can "alter" the flavour of the wine. How can you avoid this? Use rice or apple vinegar and serve them with our De Casta rosé. You'll be amazed by the combination!
6. A barbeque is another "must" for the summer and is particularly good with fish and shellfish. Prawns, crayfish and lobster deserve to be accompanied by a good "single estate" wine such as our Fransola. Or if you prefer some steamed mussels, they'll make a popular aperitif paired with a very cool bottle of Waltraud, our own Riesling.
7. Season white meat such as chicken, rabbit or pork ribs with lemon, pepper and a touch of honey. Our Gran Viña Sol will do the rest!
8. And so to dessert. Do you prefer the simplicity of a fruit salad or the sophistication of roasted peaches with honey and vanilla ice cream? Either way, they're wonderful with Floralis, Torres's Moscatel. But it must be served well chilled.
Remember that 2 + 2 does not make 4 and that you, and you alone, set the limits. Experiment and discover that, in pairings, just like in life, there's room for all tastes and colours. So have a go, and we'd love you to share your discoveries with us. Why not surprise us?
