Torres Brandy, the world’s best-selling brandy in the very best bars

19 January 2026

Torres Brandy has consolidated its position, for the seventh consecutive year, as the world’s best-selling brandy in the top tier of bars worldwide. According to the Brands Report 2026 published by Drinks International magazine, Torres Brandy tops the league table of the most frequently served brandies in these venues (Bestselling Brands). At the same time, this internationally renowned brand is also among those gaining the most momentum, taking third place in the list of brands that are currently setting trends (Top Trending Brands).

Drinks International editor-in-chief Shay Waterworth underlines Torres Brandy’s strong leadership in sales within its category, noting that it remains one of the go-to brandies in many of the world’s best bars, with close to 20% of surveyed venues listing it. The publication attributes this success to the brand’s versatility and to the sustained support it offers the on-trade as a sponsor of high-profile events such as The World’s 50 Best Bars.

In the pisco category, El Gobernador — produced by Juan Torres Master Distillers in Chile — has been named the best-selling Chilean pisco and also features among the most on-trend pisco brands in the Top Trending Brands list. El Gobernador first appeared in the report in 2018, entering in fourth place among the trending brands and in tenth place among the bestsellers, and has remained in the ranking ever since.

For the past 17 years, Drinks International has published the Brands Report, a study based on rigorous market research that provides an in-depth picture of the best-selling brands in the world’s leading bars. The report also reveals which brands consumers ask for by name, which labels bartenders identify as emerging trends, and which are preferred for specific cocktail styles and drink types.

The study is based on a survey of the most influential bars worldwide, completed by owners, managers or bartenders. Of the participating venues, 47% are based in Europe, 24% in Asia, 13% in North America, 12% in South America, 2% in Africa and the Middle East and 2% in Australasia. Spread across 26 countries, many of these bars have been nominated for or have received awards in prestigious competitions such as The World’s 50 Best Bars and its regional lists for North America and Asia, which served as a key reference for selecting the survey sample.
