The 2016 harvest was one of the longest in the past decade. Generally speaking, the grapes were very healthy and excellent in quality. In certain areas of Catalonia where we work, the summer drought advanced ripening in the earliest white varieties. In contrast, red varieties matured more slowly. The Penedès region was most affected by the drought, which decreased the harvest, whereas yields in all other areas were similar to previous years. Overall, this is a very good vintage, which will produce wines of excellent quality.
