A Typical Day at the Visitors Center
But…What the Dickens is a Finn like me doing in the Torres Winery?
Meeting cool people from all over the world and tasting great wines. Welcome to my world of wine tours!
We start out at 9 am, bright and early! Some people are afraid to do wine tastings in the morning, but actually, the best time for a tasting is before lunch. Our senses are more awake and we are generally more alert during morning and midday, since after lunch we tend to feel a little sluggish and our sense of smell won’t be as keen. So dare to taste a couple of more wines (in moderation, of course!), like these lovely ladies in the picture did with my colleague Alan. You can try old favourites or find some new acquaintances; we offer an aromatic trip over three countries – Spain, USA and Chile.
Cheers, Daniela, Essi, Esther, Noemi, Charlotte, and Hoes!
If you decide to spend the morning somewhere else and come and visit us at lunch time, don’t worry, you won’t have to do the tour on an empty stomach – you can reserve and enjoy a tasty, quick brunch paired with a couple of our wines, just like this French group did. You can either start or finish the tour with this delicious little meal.
For the ones that are more thirsty than hungry, we have prepared different kinds of tastings that let you get to know our wines more intimately. These Swedish wine lovers chose three wines – a white, a rosé and a red.
And if you already know our wines and perhaps want to know more about our famous brandies, you can actually visit our brandy ageing warehouse and see for yourself the unhurried rest of this amber coloured liquid and have a sample tasting. Also, if you have more time to spend with us, you can actually make your own brandy and bring it home with you!
After a busy day like today, what could be more perfect than to relax and let all your worries disappear during a nice yoga class that the company has arranged for us workers!
Ooommmmm…
