A bird’s eye 360° vineyard view

#Torres360
Bodegas Torres has launched an innovative 360-degree audiovisual experience that allows the viewer to discover the company’s main wineries and vineyards in Spain from an aerial perspective and from any angle. Using the latest technology in virtual reality viewing devices, Torres offers an interactive and immersive trip, flying over the Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat, La Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Rias Baixas vineyards.
Torres has presented this pioneering initiative to the wine industry at the 30th Duty Free & Travel Retail Global Summit, organised by the Tax Free World Association from 27th to 31st October in Cannes, during an event for one hundred sector professionals. The device, which has a folding enclosure inspired by Google Cardboard and is made using environmentally friendly materials, is an interesting tool for the trade team at Torres: customers from all around the world will be able to see the place where the wines they are tasting are born and produced, enabling them to have a truly all-round experience. It will also be available at Torres end-consumer events and at fairs and summits in which the company takes part.
In just over two minutes, flying over a distance of one thousand kilometers, the viewer discovers the vineyards’ beauty at its best, in the month of July. Moving one’s head in any direction, one can interact with the video and take in all the surroundings. The video contains spectacular aerial images of Torres’ estates and vineyards, recorded by a drone and six GoPro cameras in a spherical formation. The use of a seventh camera has enabled the deletion of the drone’s presence in postproduction, enhancing the free sensation of the flight.
