Celeste Crianza

A star in Ribera del Duero

Celeste is an opulent wine brimming with fruit, body and colour: as unique as the night sky in the Ribera del Duero.

At 895 metres altitude you can almost touch the stars and shape the clouds. The dusk air is intense with fragrance. And the sun lights up the land in all its splendour. Here, at a height of 895 metres, Celeste is born, the Torres family’s first Ribera del Duero.

DO Ribera del Duero

The vineyards in the Duero Valley are testimony to the history of this area which was written by the shepherds and farmers who long ago lived there.

It's said that the cold nights and hot days in the highest areas of these lands perfectly combine with the mountains winds to bring back memories of the first care given to the vines already back in the 12th century. Way high up there is where the grape ripens in the silence of the starry nights. Patiently awaiting the day when its great dream will come true: to become a Ribera del Duero worthy of praise.

In the heart of Castilla, a region with a long noble tradition, a lost path winds along the banks of the river Duero in the town of Villafranca del Duero. This path is known as “Camino de Magarín” and its winding route ends at the Winery to which it gives its name, “Bodega Magarín”.
