Torre Penelas
DO Rías Baixas
Torre Penelas, located in the municipality of Portas (Pontevedra) in the Valle de Salnés, is Familia Torres’s project in Rías Baixas. It focuses on making singular wines from grapes grown in the property’s 6-hectare walled vineyard and fermented in innovative egg-shaped, granite vats.
The pazo is from the fourteenth or fifteenth century and is a national heritage site. It boasts traditional features such as an hórreo (raised granary), dovecote, and chapel. A micro-winery has been installed in the pazo’s tower.
