The British magazine The Drinks Business celebrated its Green Awards in London and awarded Bodegas Torres for its commitment to renewable energies

Bodegas Torres has been recognised for its environmental work at the fifth edition of the Green Awards. These prizes are granted by The Drinks Business, a British publication of reference for beverage sector professionals around the world.

Specifically, it received “The Renewable Energy Implementation Award”.  This is a new category sponsored by Carbon Zero Consulting to reward companies proving they have reduced their carbon footprint with the use of renewable energies.

For Miguel A. Torres, Chairman of Bodegas Torres and a member of the family's fourth generation, the prize is recognition for the efforts of Bodegas Torres to adapt to climate change and minimise its effects with the use of renewable energies. In fact, Miguel A. Torres is the one who decided to intensify the company's environmental actions in 2007 by driving the implementation of the Torres & Earth project through which 10 million euros have already been invested in an aim to reduce CO2 emissions per bottle by 30% for the year 2020.
