Primum Familiae Vini announces the finalists for the 'Family is Sustainability' Award 2024

01 February 2024

Primum Familiae Vini (PFV), an association of twelve winemaking families from the world's best wine regions, including Familia Torres, has announced the five finalist companies for the third edition of the PFV #FamilyIsSustainability Award, endowed with €100,000 and to be announced in spring.

There are five family businesses, from Japan, Italy and the United States, which stand out for the exemplary way in which they have passed down the business over the generations, for their commitment to excellence and for their sense of innovation, key factors that have led them to endure over time.

The PFV #FamilyIsSustainability Award was created in 2020 and aims to recognize the family business that, on an international level, demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and the transmission of values through generations. The winners of the previous editions have been Maison Bernard, Europe's oldest luthier's workshop (in 2020), and Brun de Vian-Tiran, a French manufacturer of high-quality wool textiles (in 2022).

Véronique Drouhin, from Maison Joseph Drouhin, said:

"Once again this year, the independent family businesses from whom we received applications are all involved in magnificent projects. We selected five who particularly stood out for having successfully guided their family businesses through multiple generations, maintaining a positive dynamic and people-centred values whilst targeting uncompromising excellence in their sphere of activity. These values are dear to us at PFV, and we are committed to encouraging them".
