The new bottle design and look of Viña Esmeralda by Bodegas Torres enhance the wine's elegance and femininity
The new bottle is unique. Its drop-shaped design evokes the delicacy and freshness of this well-known white wine, named after the emerald color of the Mediterranean. The revamped look is more sophisticated and contemporary. The classically inspired design recalls the brand's original essence. By playing with color, texture and a crest-like shape, it conveys the sophistication and glamour expressed by the claim “Mediterranean classic.”
Viña Esmeralda is synonymous with seduction, sensuality and beauty. It is the most feminine of all the wines produced by Bodegas Torres. The varieties Muscat and Gewürztraminer endow the wine with exceptional delicacy and aroma. Intense and floral, it brings to mind lime blossoms and acacia honey with fresh and tropical fruit notes. On the palate, it is sensual and silky, framed by seductive, delicate acidity.
Viña Esmeralda was one of the first highly successful white wines in Spain, and nowadays it is sold in over one hundred markets around the world, with Spain, Denmark, England, Canada, Finland and Russia topping the list.
Aesthetic reasons were not the only motivation for the new design of Viña Esmeralda. By changing the bottle and making it lighter than its predecessor, we reduce the product's carbon footprint. In other words, transporting the bottles now generates lower CO2 emissions, which are the greenhouse gases responsible for climate change. Viña Esmeralda contributes, even if on a small scale, to mitigating the consequences of global warming. Climate change has a significant impact on a highly sensitive plant like the grapevine and is one of Torres' main concerns.
