Vineyards (Fundos)

What attracted us in particular to winemaking in Chile were the excellent climatic conditions in which to grow vines. Chile has well differentiated seasons with spectacular temperature shifts, greater even than 20ºC. Also the absence of Phylloxera means that it is not necessary to graft vines onto American rootstock. Finally the oldest viticultural traditions on the American continent. Spanish missionaries planted the first vineyards. Later, in the 19th century they were re-planted with French varietals.

Cordillera

Cordillera is the closest of our vineyards to the Andes mountain range.

Maquehua

The Fundo Maquehua is particularly well suited to the cultivation of red varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Manso de Velasco

This is where the Fundo Manso de Velasco vineyard is found. It owes its name to the Spanish governor who founded the city of Curicó in 1743.

San Luis de Alico

At the end of the 1990s we acquired the Fundo San Luis de Alico, covering 45 hectares in San Clemente.

San Francisco Norte

The Fundo San Francisco Norte is a volcanic and sandy plot where we mainly plant Pinot Noir for our Brut, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling.

Empedrado

In 2003 we acquired the Fundo Empedrado located near to Constitución and 180 Km from Curicó.
