One of the finest and most elegant of international grape varieties, originally from Burgundy, it is cultivated in our Upper Penedès vineyards and at our Estate in Sonoma County (California). It produces exceptional wines from our Mas Borrás vineyard and a wine of unique character from our Don Miguel vineyard in the USA.
It has small berries that are purplish-black in colour, waxy looking
and coated in abundant bloom. The pith is thick and the pulp soft.
Pinot Noir red wines can attain aromatic excellence (beetroot, cherry,
cassis, strawberry, raspberry, violets, Russian leather and liquorice)
and they age well. |
